Saak Adventure Summer Program
Saak Adventure Summer Program | 2026
Saak Adventure Summer Program is a place-based, outdoor-focused program for school-aged children (ages 6–12), rooted in exploration, movement, and connection to the Skagway community.
During the summer of 2026, Saak will offer two five-week sessions designed to get kids outside as much as possible while supporting working families with consistent, engaging care. Campers spend their days exploring local trails, participating in hands-on projects, playing team-building games, and learning through real-world experiences in and around Skagway.
Saak is built on the belief that children learn best when they are active, curious, and connected to the place they live. Our program emphasizes outdoor play, community-based learning, and social-emotional growth—creating a fun, safe environment where kids build confidence, friendships, and a lasting love of the outdoors.

What to Expect This Summer
Saak Camp is built around three core pillars—Learn, Serve, and Adventure—bringing together outdoor exploration, community connection, and hands-on fun. Campers will spend their days hiking local trails, building outdoor skills, and learning through nature, with special adventure days led by local guides. We’ll partner with the Skagway Library and Skagway Traditional Council for unique cultural and community-based experiences, while also taking field trips to Carcross and Haines to explore beyond Skagway. With a strong focus on service, campers will give back through meaningful projects that build confidence and teamwork. Our program is primarily outdoors, active, creating space for kids to connect, grow, and have fun.
